The North Halton Stars Track and Field Club began in May of 2015 with a small group of kids and coaches, mostly left over from the Georgetown Rockets club that did not continue to operate after 2014. Coach Jeff Miller and his kids were keen to continue training and competing with others in the Halton area. The program was mostly aimed to serve minor track athletes (kids up to grade 8). The club now runs through these seasons during the year;
May - July: Outdoor track and field season
September - November: Cross Country running season
Starting in May of 2016, the club changed its name, registered with Athletics Ontario, (AO) and invited high school athletes to join the club, particularly to train as part of the vertical jumps program. The club will soon be recruiting high jumpers and pole-vaulters to train and compete at a variety of AO sanctioned meets through the spring and summer, and possibly beyond.
